Why this organ
As an accompanist of the local choir a number of years ago I
came into contact with the -at that time fairly new- Van
Eeken organ in the church of Hoogblokland.
Herewith I noticed that this small instrument was
particularly beautiful. Each voice has character and i.c.w.
the lively wind supply I found it a very inspiring
instrument.
Actually everything is beautiful, from the flutes to the
recently added Dulcian, a joy to play on it.
After the installation of the aforementioned Dulcian, we
conceived the idea of making a Sampleset of this fine
village organ.
There are numerous (amateur) church organists in our country
who play on Sundays on a similar organ with corresponding
acoustics, and then it is very convenient if you can already
prepare your “pieces” at home on an organ and church space
that correspond to it.
Not everything is possible on such a small 'village organ'
but because of the fine character of this Van Eeken organ,
especially the simple compositions are a relief compared to
the 'massiveness' of the large and well-known organs where,
with their large acoustics, it quickly sounds good but where
a lot of detail is often lost.
Because we make virtual organs, we have (for those who like
it like myself) added a number of stops. We also kept in
mind the specification history of the previous organ in this
organ case and so we added a Bourdon 16, Quint 3, Vox
Celeste, a Nasard 3 and Terts 1 3/5.
We also enriched the pedal with a few stops up to Basson
16.
All these stops are derived from the existing samples.
Of course it is also possible to “just” play the organ with
the original specification, for this we have created a photo
realistic console.
Also with a little joke; just scroll your mouse over the
sheet music on the lectern ☺️.

Welcome to our new website!
Our samplesets bring the lifelike sound of beautiful church organs
into your living room through your own digital organ.
What sets us apart from others is our innovative
3-channel technique , allowing you to listen to the organs up close, from a little
further away, or even from the back of the church, completely
tailored to your preferences.
From the ‘Steendam Apeldoorn’ sampleset onwards, we started working
with more and even better microphones (Neumann) which guarantees the
best possible quality samplesets. Judge for yourself and listen to
the many varied demos found with each sample set on the "listening demos" page.
While our organs may not always enjoy national recognition, we
believe their sound is often remarkably beautiful and certainly
worth experiencing for many of you.
For instance, we consider an organ like
"De Laurentius",
with its rich acoustics and overwhelming Bazuin 32', to evoke
associations with the famous Cavaillé-Coll organ from Rouen. While
reading, why not listen to the following well-known piece:

More information
Many of our organs are well-suited for playing Dutch chorale music
(such as Asma, Zwart, etc.).
In today's market, our prices are affordable, so even those on a
lower budget can acquire a very nice organ sample set.
We have a number of FREE sample sets, so you can try out our high quality in your own home, but we also have special sample sets for sale, such as the small one-manual organ from Krewerd, the second oldest pipe organ in the Netherlands that is still playable.
If you prefer the sounds of a large organ in your living room, we also have the larger 3-manual organs in our range, such as the beautiful organ of the Grote Kerk in Schiedam. You can find more information about this sample set in ‘Uitgelicht’ (below).
Go on a journey of discovery through the many beautiful timbres of
the demos:
On the page "Listening to demos" you can take a musical journey through all our recorded
organs.
On the page "All our samplesets"
you can filter the samplesets, among other things, by the
number of manuals.
On the page "Slideshow" you can
navigate smoothly through all the samplesets via larger photos of
the recorded organs, including information about prices, disposition
and three demos.

As a Hauptwerk user, you know how important it is to have the
perfect organ sound palette at your fingertips, and the
Flentrop organ of Schiedam offers just that.
This instrument delivers a beautifully clear and transparent sound
without ever becoming too sharp, which is ideal for a wide
range of musical styles.
In terms of character, the organ is situated exactly between the sparkling
neobaroque and the rich, warm tones of Romanticism - a
versatility that is enormously valuable to Hauptwerk users
is.
With the Van den Heuvel expansion of the pedalboard, including a
powerful Roerquint 12 and an imposing 32-foot reed stop, this
gives the organ a new, almost unparalleled dimension of power and
depth. These stops give you an impressive bass foundation
that takes your music to the next level, perfect for both
dynamic tutti passages as well as for subtler playing in softer
registrations.
As an extra, in this sample set of the Flentrop
organ of Schiedam, a virtual swell with
symphonic voices, especially for French-romantic
literature. While savings are currently being made to physically add this swell to the organ in
future physical addition to the organ,
Hauptwerk users already now have the benefit of exploring this unique extension.
This addition brings the total number of stops
to a whopping 55, giving you even more sound options to
bring your interpretations to life.
This organ is perfectly suited for everything from Bach
and Reger to Asma and Zwart, and in Hauptwerk it gives you the power and
flexibility to create an authentic, immersive playing experience
. A must-have for any Hauptwerk enthusiast striving
for both clear, nuanced sounds and raw power!
Special to know : Our 3-channel technique
Our devised 3-channel technique,
where the organs are recorded at 3 locations in the church,
offers a lot of possibilities:
This technique makes the organ very spacious but also very direct with all details
(i.e., almost without acoustics) to be heard
(and everything in between). The direct setting to listen to the organ
is eminently suitable for study purposes, but also for churches that already have a
own acoustics.
Several churches, where a real organ is not yet
possible, or no longer possible, are already making use of our
samplesets to their full satisfaction (even in Australia). Also, a combination of
hauptwerk and real organ pipes is a popular option,
here it is important that the sampleset itself has no acoustics
.
Our 3-channel technique can be easily adjusted to a listening position
somewhere in the church that you would choose to listen to the organ
during a concert.
